The collar is worked flat in brioche stitch (English rib). The ties, as well as the top, bottom, left, and right edges, are worked using I-cord edging. Work begins with the left tie, worked in I-cord. Then, continuing the I-cord along the top edge, stitches are added for the main body of the collar. In the next step, the right tie is worked in I-cord. Next, the main part is worked in brioche (English rib) in rows, while maintaining I-cord edges along both sides. The pattern includes two increase sections to shape the collar. The collar is finished with an I-cord edge. **SIZES** ONE SIZE **FINISHED MEASUREMENTS** (measured flat, without stretching) A – inner edge length 38 cm [15 in] B – outer edge length 116 cm [45 in] C – collar width 12.5 cm [5 in] D – tie length 46 cm [18 in] **YARN** MY TIME MERINO (100% non-superwash merino wool) 50 g = 230 m [1.8 oz = 252 yds] Consumption: 2 skeins Color: 9522 (red orange) **The yarn consumption includes yarn used for swatching and a 15% buffer.** **NEEDLES AND NOTIONS** Circular needles: 2 mm [US 0] / 80 cm [32 in] 2.5 mm [US 1.5] / 80 cm [32 in] Double-pointed needles: 2.5 mm [US 1.5] – 2 needles Notions: tapestry needle, scissors, measuring tape **GAUGE:** 25 br sts x 37 br rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4 in] brioche stitch worked flat using 2 mm [US 0] needles. br sts – brioche stitches.
