Tidal Skirt

*Tidal Skirt is an elegant knitted skirt with a relaxed bohemian feel, combining delicate lace, fluid lines and a feminine silhouette. Romantic yet modern, Tidal Skirt is an easy statement piece for the warmer months and the transition into autumn.* PATTERN NOTES The Tidal Skirt is worked seamlessly from the top down. The waistband is worked first in the round in 1×1 rib, beginning with a provisional cast-on. It is then folded and joined to create a double-layered waistband, with a small opening left for inserting the elastic once the skirt is finished. The body of the skirt continues directly from the live waistband stitches and is worked in the round. The upper section is worked in the Diamond Lace pattern, following Lace Chart A. The shaping is incorporated directly into the lace pattern, so this section is divided into two charts. Begin with Lace Chart A1, worked over a 16-stitch repeat. After completing one repeat of Chart A1, switch to Lace Chart A2, with an 18-stitch repeat. The gradual increase in stitch count creates the gently flared silhouette while maintaining the continuity of the lace pattern. After the Diamond Lace section is completed, the following lace patterns continue towards the hem. From the beginning of the side slit, the skirt is worked back and forth rather than in the round.
