My Snow Beans Paw Prints Tree Skirt crochet pattern uses filet crochet principles to capture the charm of tiny paws exploring freshly fallen snow. Perfect for the dog or cat lover, it features a playful snowball border with bobble stitches, and sturdy ties that form perfect bows. It can be modified to accommodate any size tree or stand, and it can be made larger or smaller depending on your space. **Detailed modification instructions are included in the pattern.** **DIFFICULTY** Adventurous Beginner. You should already know how to do chains, double crochet, and slip stitches. Special stitches will be explained step-by-step with photos, and you can contact me with any questions. This project starts off quickly, but each row gains 12 stitches. The final row is 612 stitches! The repetitive double crochet is easy, but testers found it essential to use the recommended stitch markers. There is a lot of counting involved in this project which can be tedious or relaxing, depending on your perspective! Left-handed testers found this to be a "leftie friendly" pattern, but photos are from a right-handed perspective. **TIME** For a 49-inch (124cm) tree skirt with border and ties, budget 25+ hours. Expect that you will have to redo a few rows due to counting errors! **SUPPLIES NEEDED** For a 49-inch (124cm) tree skirt with a 4.5-inch (11.5cm) opening with my snowbobble border and ties: * 2129 yards (1947m) #4 weight yarn (also known as worsted or aran. Feel free to use yarn that is thinner or thicker, but know this will affect the amount of yarn used and the final size.) * 4mm crochet hook (feel free to use a larger hook, keeping in mind that there may be a size difference in the final product and you may need more yarn), needle for weaving in ends, scissors * 11+ stitch markers No generative AI tools were used in the creation of this pattern or the photos. A huge thank-you to my testers, who made my first pattern design a fun experience. You provided valuable information to make this pattern as accurate and easy to follow as possible. I couldn't have hand picked a better dream team. * Eva Roos: CutsAndStitchesShop (Etsy), cutsnstitchesshop (Ravelry), @cutsandstitchesshop (Insta) * Lindy Hillier: StitchnLindy (Etsy), @stitchnlindy (Insta), @itastitch (Facebook) * Evie Cumming: @evalinascrochetcorner (Insta) * Kalyn de Caussin: @gremlin_crochets (Insta) * Alexandria Hickman/LongLiveStrength * Samantha Witty @_samieo (Insta) Any deficiencies in the pattern are mine alone and do not reflect on my testers.
