Sword of Damocles

Do you fancy a wall hanging that symbolises the weight of responsibility on you as a ruler and the enemies waiting in the wings to skewer you where you sit? Make this fancy tapestry and remember your own mortality!! This is designed as a double knit peice, which means that the colours are reversed on the other side. Choose any two contrasting yarns to make this, as long as they are the same weight. For a smaller sized wall hanging, use a lighter yarn weight. I used three skeins each of my yarn A and yarn B, for a total of 6 skeins. The finished piece measures approx. 50cm x 105cm including the fringe. Since this is my first pattern, I'll be revising the charts once I have time to make them clearer to read based on some kind feedback. Constructive criticism welcome!
