Using many traditional-style winter motifs, this cowl is a quick and easy knit for yourself or for a loved one. For one repeat each of Chart 1 and Chart 2, this sample used approximately 67g (155yds) of the main color, and 27g (63yds) of the contrast color. Adding additional length or chart repeats will affect the amount of yarn used. **Colorwork Tip:** When the chart calls for any more than 5-6 stitches in between alternating colors, it's best practice to catch your floats. For instance, if you are knitting 9 stitches in the main color before knitting with the contrast color in a single row, you should try to "catch" the contrast color in the back on the 5th main color stitch.
