The maple tree in my front yard casually changes from green to red, and while I know this happens every year, I continue to marvel at the intense colors each season. **SEASONALITY** is a striped shawl-style cowl that celebrates autumn: the crisp wind, the stunning colors, the need for wool!! This piece is knit in 2 colors, a skein of non-superwash DK paired with a skein of handspun yarn. For a similar look, pair a tonal color with a coordinating handspun or long color-changing yarn. The cowl is knit flat and seamed, and the finished piece is reversible. **YARN – COLOR 1** Viking Fiber Company Nornir DK, 60% Wool, 30% Corriedale, 10% Romney, 230 yd / 210 m per 100 g or similar DK weight yarn, 1 skein, [www.vikingfiberco.com][1]. **YARN – COLOR 2** 2-ply handspun yarn, approximately 16 WPI (wraps per inch), 1 4-oz braid spun into yarn. Fiber is 100% Grey Corriedale by Into the Whirled, [www.intothewhirled.com][2]. Use any sport to DK weight yarn you prefer for this design.
