This pattern is for the mouse & its clothing, the raised planter and removable vegetables as well as the fruit & veg shop complete with stock, counter & opening till! The pattern contains lots of photos to help you every step of the way. It is written in English, using American crochet terms. All of my patterns have been independently tested prior to publication. **You will need:** Yarn of your choice. Yarn weight doesn’t really matter - the size of your project will simply turn out bigger or smaller! I used King Cole Cherished DK (equivalent to weight 3 / light worsted weight) and my finished mouse measures approximately 10cm tall. My fruit and veg shop measures approximately 23.5cm tall, 23.5cm wide and 19cm deep. Please ensure that you use the same weight yarn throughout your project. **For the mouse (pages 4 - 8), you will need the following colours:** * Main mouse colour - I used pale grey or cream (approx. 23.5m per mouse). * Nose / ears / feet / tail colour - I used pale pink (approx. 13m per mouse). **For the clothing (pages 9-10), you will need the following colours:** * Shirt colour - I used white (approx. 6.5m). * Trousers colour - I used light brown (approx. 9m). * Apron colour - I used green (approx. 4m). **For the fruit & veg shop & its contents (pages 11 - 37), you will need the following colours:** * Your choice of main colour for the walls (approx. 611m). * Dark grey - for the floor, shelf, till and embroidered text (approx. 211m). * Light Brown - for the roof, window frames, counter, baskets & veg trays (approx. 334m). * Yellow - for the front & side windows (approx. 42m). * Red - for the window canopy & apples (approx. 13.5m). * White - for the window canopy, shop sign & open sign (approx. 21.5m). * Green - for the door and various veg (approx. 29m). * Orange - for the carrots (approx. 13.5m). * Cream - for the cauliflower (approx. 4.5m). **For the planter & watering can (pages 38 - 41), you will need the following colours:** * Light brown - for the frame (approx. 40m). * Dark brown - for the soil (approx. 26m). * Red - for the watering can (approx. 6m). * Green - for the extra leaves (approx. 3.5m for a cauliflower leaf & 3m for a broccoli leaf). Please Note - The amount of yarn used will vary according to yarn weight, hook size and stitch tension so these measurements are only a rough guide. The pattern refers to the colours that I used, however these can be substituted for colours of your choice. **You will also need:** * A suitable size hook for the yarn you have chosen - I used a 4mm hook. * A pair of 6mm black safety eyes per mouse. * Some toy stuffing. * A small amount of black finer yarn or thread for adding the details to the mouse’s face (this step is optional). * A button for fastening the trousers (the one I used was 14mm in diameter) and a needle and thread with which to attach it. * ‘7 count’ plastic canvas. I had a 26cm x 33cm sheet (that’s 10.25 x 13.5 inches) & I used 3.5 sheets. A higher count (that’s the number of holes per inch) will mean the plastic is more bendy so stick to 7 count if possible. If your plastic feels very bendy, you may wish to insert multiple layers of plastic into the panels to make your vault stronger. I source my plastic canvas (sturdy & good quality) from wool warehouse. If you use a thicker yarn than I did, I strongly recommend using more layers of plastic to help support the extra yarn weight. * Other tools you will need are a tapestry needle, some scissors and some stitch markers. **You are welcome to sell the items that you make using this pattern, but please do not sell / share the pattern itself.
