Perky Pufflings - Mosaic Crochet Motifs

This past summer, I had the privilege of visiting Iceland, Norway, and both the Shetland and Faroe Islands, where I spent my time traveling around looking at puffin nesting sites. These goofy and adorable birds are now my favorite animal, and I felt that I just had to create a pattern to celebrate them in all their glory. And what are puffins without some fish? The Fanciful Fish motif works perfectly with the Perky Pufflings motif and can be used separately or together, as I did with my sample blanket. I created these patterns to be used as part of a child’s blanket, but they are both general-purpose designs and can be used as part of any mosaic crochet creation! Please be aware that the puffling motif requires an additional color to create the orange beak. I used Tinna’s tapestry crochet method to achieve this. ========================== This pattern consists of a multi-paged PDF file that includes detailed charts for a set of TWO puffin motifs (left and right facing) and TWO fabulous fishes (left and right facing). In addition, there are detailed instructions on how to create the sample blanket that appears on the front of the pattern. Each of the motifs is 42 stitches wide. The puffins are 49 rows tall and the fish are 23 rows tall. **There are no written instructions with the pattern - just the very detailed charts.** There are detailed notes and tips to help with the crocheting of the sample blanket.
