Universe in Bloom

***Let us go where the time runs slow*** Inspired by the hauntingly beautiful song All You Got is Gold by indie band The Great Escape, the Universe in Bloom CAL 2025 is a 12-week immersive Crochet-A-Long celebrating the golden threads of creativity connecting us all. Designed by renowned crochet artist Dedri Uys, the blanket bursts with joyful colour, playful textures, and clever techniques—inviting adventurous beginners and seasoned crocheters alike on a journey of skill and imagination. **A Journey to Share** ​Starting in Autumn 2025, this CAL offers a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow crafters and master new stitches. Dedri’s step- by-step instructions and the supportive Scheepjes community will guide participants through each week as they bring their Universe in Bloom blanket to life. Whether they follow a suggested colourway or create their own, this project is sure to fill the season with inspiration, joy, and a strong sense of creative connection. ​A Tips & Tricks PDF will be released on **1 October** containing useful information including pattern notes, gauge/tension guidance and measurements. The CAL runs from **8 October - 17 December**. Free pattern parts will be available in English (UK and US terminology), Dutch and German, and will be released typically on Wednesdays at 12 noon CET/CEST. They will be shared via Official Scheepjes International and Dutch Facebook groups and on Scheepjes.com. Weekly photo and video tutorials will be available in English via Dedri’s blog [LookAtWhatIMade][1], while Dutch video tutorials will be provided by Michael Wassenaar of [Mike’s Creatieve Wereld][2]. Both Dedri and Michael will be active in the Facebook groups throughout the CAL to support and engage with participants.
