Heather Zipper Cowl

A soft and warm cowl with a practical twist: a 30 cm separating zipper at the front. Open it easily when stepping into a warm shop, getting in and out of a car, or whenever you want a little less around your neck — without pulling the cowl over your head or messing up your hair. The cowl is available in three sizes, S (M) L, with the size chosen according to the desired amount of ease around the neck. The cowl is knitted flat and seamlessly. The collar is worked by picking up stitches around the neckline and folded double, with the zipper enclosed between the collar layers. The pattern includes separate instructions for both right- and left-handed knitters. Gauge: 22 sts × 29 rows = 10 × 10 cm in stockinette stitch on 3.5 mm needles.
