To farmers, it seems normal to find pieces of Etruscan objects buried in the ground when they dig a bit deeper in their fields. Construction works are often suspended because some old buildings are found underground. Some of the treasures from the old times are the mosaics and frescoes. In Pompeii and Herculaneum one can visit the remains of ancient buildings with mosaics on the floors and walls. But there are also treasures which are even more hidden. The underwater archeological park of Baia has some amazing mosaics that can be visited by scuba diving or viewed through glass-bottom boats. The yoke of the Baia sweater is inspired by the mosaics in the underwater park of Baia. The sweater is knit top down seamlessly. The colorwork is worked from the chart. The upper back is shaped with German short rows, and the yoke depth is customizable. After separating the sleeve sts, the body is knit in the round to the hem. Straight-to-cuff sleeves are worked last. If necessary, adjust needle size for the stranded yoke. **Notions** 2 st markers, 2 st holders / spare cables or scrap yarn, tapestry needle.
