Dancing Dragonfly Shawl

I originally created the Dancing Dragonflies on a pair of mittens. It was my very first published pattern. These dragonflies have since danced across socks, cowls, sweaters, and hats. I felt it was time to let them dance across a shawl to have them delicately drape across your shoulders. This pattern is worked flat, knitting on the right side and purling on the wrong side. It’s designed to use fingering/sock yarn. This is a collaboration with Gingersnap Yarns using their Yak/Merino fingering yarn and has a specific order of colors for the dragonflies. Each dragonfly uses approximately 2 grams of yarn, so it could be a great stash buster of left over sock yarn. You could make each dragonfly a different colour. Or have the flowers and dragonflies all one colour. Or have the garter border a contrast colour. And, because it is a shawl and not a fitted item, gauge is not as important. So many possibilities.
