Ploughing Match Socks

I can get 2 pairs from one 425m/100g skein of merino/nylon sock, making the medium size, using 2.5mm needles I wanted something with just enough cabling and lace to keep it interesting, but also simple to remember I've called this pattern Ploughing Match because when I was a child, living in Mid Devon, the annual ploughing match was an extremely competitive event between the local villages (remember, we only had 3 TV channels til the mid 1980s, and reception was very patchy!)
