Strawberry socks

(Hint: The pattern features stranded colourwork and is not socks.) **Materials:** • One 2.25mm / US size 1 circular needle, 100cm / 40” in length, or set of DPNs, or size needed to meet the required gauge. • Stitch markers (2), one of which is used to mark the beginning of round. • Tapestry needle for sewing in threads. • Blocking materials. • Fingering weight (sock weight) yarn, exact yardage may vary and is dependent on size and foot length. For the strawberry socks, a 100g skein of sock yarn in a red colourway for the MC, along with 10g of sock yarn in a green colourway for the CC should be suitable for most adult sizes. For the watermelon socks, a 100g skein of sock yarn in a pink/red colourway for the MC, along with 10g of sock yarn in a green colourway for CC1, and 5g of sock yarn in a light green/white colourway for CC2 should be suitable for most adult sizes. • Samples are worked using Big Fox Yarn, Perfect Sock - 75% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% Nylon, 350m / 383yds per 100g in the colourways Pink Robyn (MC), Hey Kelly (CC1) and Ecru (CC2) for watermelon socks and Stiletto Red (MC) and Medusa (CC) for strawberry socks. **Gauge:** 33 stitches and 48 rounds = 10cm / 4” in textured pattern, worked in the round and blocked. **Size:** 1 (2, 3, 4, 5): The socks are 14.5cm (17cm, 19.5cm, 22cm, 24cm) / 5.75” (6.75”, 7.75”, 8.75”, 9.5”) in circumference. Socks are intended to fit with approximately 2.5cm – 4.5cm / 1” – 1.75” negative ease.
