Nearly Autumn Slouchy Hat

When I finished designing my shrug and had a lot of yarn leftover, I knew I needed a matching hat!! This hat is worked from the brim up, and is designed to fit a wide range of sizes from pre-teen 18” to adult 23”. Cast on using your favorite method for hats, knit the brim to your preferred length, then work in lace to the top! The lace pattern is the same one used in the shrug, at just a little smaller gauge. Use any worsted to light chunky weight yarn that looks good knit in stockinette at about 20 sts/4”/10cm. I used leftover yarn from the shrug, but this would also be a great way to try out the lace pattern before knitting the shrug!
