The Fancy line of projects grew out of Threads of Colour – A Year in Squares, and these little projects have become quite my favourite part. Creating these small, interesting things has made this year-long exploration of pattern and technique so much more than my original idea. Morning Glory grew from my fondness for small shawls – those useful little pieces that sit somewhere between an accessory and something to take the chill away. I wanted this one to have a strong hit of colour and just enough lace to make it special.
