Instructions are both charted and written out. **Size** - Depth, adjustable: 25.5cm (10in) - Circumference (top): 46cm (18in) - Circumference (bottom): 104cm (41in) **Yarn** - Fingering weight, 390m (426yds) - Sample yarn: Beehive Yarns Barbarella (75% superwash Merino wool, 20% nylon, 5% stellina), fingering, 100g (3 1/2oz), 400m (437yds), in Tulle - The pattern is best suited to solid or tonal colorways **Needles** - 4mm (US 6) circular needles on a 40cm (16in) cable, or on a longer cable for magic loop method **Gauge** - 30 sts and 38 rows measure 10 x 10cm (4 x 4in) over 1x2 half-twisted rib, after blocking - Swatch to determine the needle size that achieves the correct gauge **Construction** - The cowl is knit from the bottom up in the round. - Decreases incorporated in the lace pattern shape the cowl, making the fit more snug around the neck. - The top half of the piece is worked in a four-row pattern repeat. If you wish to make the cowl taller or shorter, this section can be easily adjusted. - The final section of the cowl contains further decreases and patterned ribbing. - The bottom of the piece has a lovely wavy edge thanks to the lace pattern used. Pin it when blocking to emphasize the wave.
