Secret Garden Bandana

With the challenge of creating an accessory using just one skein of *Clean Cashmere’s* Pure, I went on an exploration of lacy patterns to showcase the yarn’s stitch definition. The flora motifs are separated by bands of garter stitch lace that remind me of pathways through gardens. Finishing the design are i-cord ties, allowing you to sport this bandana around your neck or on your head. This bandana is knit top down by casting on at the center point and then increasing four stitches every right side row. Lace stitch sections are separated by sets of garter stitch lace rows. Following the picot bind off, the ties are knit as i-cords. **Sizing:** One size fits all; can be worn as a cowl or as a kerchief **Finished Measurements:** 9 ¾ in/24.5 cm Tall and 21 in/52.5 cm Width (without ties), blocked **Yarn:** Approximately 121 yds/110.5 m [27 g] Light Fingering weight yarn **Yarn used in pattern:** *Clean Cashmere* Pure (100% cashmere; 125 yds [114 m]/28 g), 1 skein Ocean **Needles:** US size 4/3.50 mm needles (or size needed to obtain gauge) **Notions:** 1 stitch marker, tapestry needle, 1 stitch holder **Gauge:** 11 st x 22 rows = 2 in/5 cm blocked using Stockinette and Clovers stitch section Stitch pattern is written and charted.
