Pattern Inspiration: This pattern was inspired by the beautiful city of Pittsburgh, PA, and created for the inaugural Stitchburgh PA yarn festival! While I grew up in a more rural area, Pittsburgh is my nearest city, and I have always loved the views of the incredible bridges. The stitches were all chosen for their connection to the architecture of the bridges, with the border specifically inspired by the Three Sisters bridges that cross the Allegheny River near the Point. Huge thanks to Donna from TheYarnSmithUS and Jaime of ChickenKnitz for asking me to collaborate for this design (and extra thanks to Donna for the yarn support!). Basic Information: • Pattern is written in US crochet terms. • Yarn: Fingering weight (CYC weight 1). Approximately 463yds main color and 300 yards contrast. I used TheYarnSmithUS fingering weight, 75% SWM/ 25% Nylon, 463yds/100g, in the colors “Point of View” (main) and “Fan Base” (contrast). • Hook: 3.75 mm, or size needed to meet gauge. • Finished size: 60” wide, 20” deep, after blocking (pinned slightly beyond these measurements to account for bounce back). • Gauge: After blocking, 8 Xdc by 10 rows = 4” by 4”
