Ripple Loop Sweater

**RIPPLE_LOOP_SWEATER** has a loose and relaxed fit and characterized by a distinctive rib structure with a soft, is wavy effect created by drop stitches. The structure gives the sweater a lively expression and a beautiful drape. The sweater is worked from top down. First, the back piece is worked back and forth with short rows, while establishing the rib pattern. When the short rows are finished, the piece is continued in the drop stitch pattern, before working increases for the armholes. Shoulders are then worked separately. Here too, short rows are worked at the same time as the rib pattern. Then the drop stitch pattern continues, while increases are worked for the neck opening. The front pieces are joined and worked before finally making increases for the armholes. Then the front piece and back piece are joined, and the body is worked in the round. The sleeves are worked by picking up stitches along the armholes and working in the round in the same characteristic drop stitch pattern. The sweater is designed with a positive ease of approx. 25–55 cm. Choose the size with less ease for a classic loose style or a larger ease for a more oversized style. The light sweater shown is size 1 with a positive ease of 39 cm. The olive green sweater shown is size 2 with a positive ease of 55 cm. **Materials_** Silk Mohair 25 g / 212 m from Isager or Kid Seta 25 g / 210 m from Gepard or Soft Silk Mohair 25 g / 225 m from Knitting for Olive or Tilia 25 g / 210 m from Filcolana. 225 (250) 300 g. The sweater is worked with 2 strands held together. The yarn amount provided is for the entire amount. The sweaters shown in the photos are knitted with Isager Silk Mohair in col. 6 and 68. **Recommended needles_** 4 mm circular needles (80 or 100 cm), possibly DPNs in the same size, unless using Magic Loop method. 3.5 mm circular needles (40 cm). **Gauge_** 16 stitches x 30 rows on 4 mm needles with a pattern of drop stitches = 10 x 10 cm after washing and blocking.
