Clover Sweater features a vertical panel of a clover lace pattern on the front, framed by a narrow eyelet cable. The edges are finished with a knitted scalloped edge. Note The sweater in butter yellow is knitted using 3 strands: 2 strands of silk mohair and 1 strand of light fingering wool. The sweater in rose brown is knitted in 1 strand of chunky mohair. In the “fluffy” mohair yarn, the clover pattern is not as clearly defined as in the yarn combination with wool (the butter yellow sweater). Size guide Clover Sweater is intended to have a positive ease of approx. 20-30 cm [7.75-11.75”], depending on how loosely fitting you want it to be. The sweater is shown with a positive ease of approx. 30 cm [11.75”]. *The length is measured at the center back, excl. the neckline. Find your personal bust circumference by measuring around your chest (or the widest part of your upper body). Then look at the measurements given at the beginning of the pattern (these are the finished measurements of the sweater). Positive ease is the difference between your personal measurement and the sweater measurement. For example, if your bust circumference is 94 cm [37”], a size M would provide you with a positive ease of 26 cm [10.25”] (120 cm – 94 cm = 26 cm). [47.25” - 37” = 10.25”]. Construction The sweater is worked from the top down. First, the upper section of the back is worked back and forth using German short rows as described. Then continue in stockinette stitch until the armholes have been worked. The back stitches are placed on hold. Stitches are then picked up along the shoulders of the back, and the upper sections of the front are worked with short rows. Continue working the front until the armholes have been worked. The front and back are joined and the body is worked in the round and finished with a scalloped edge. Stitches are then picked up around the armhole. The first part of the sleeve is worked back and forth on a circular needle. The sleeves are then worked in the round in stockinette stitch and finished with a scalloped edge. Finally, stitches are picked up around the neckline, and the neckband is worked in rib and finished with a rolled edge.
