Róisín Shawl

Inspired by my favorite flower, the Róisín Shawl, celebrates the beautiful blooms I simply cannot get over. Róisín is an Irish name which means "little rose". You can find the pronunciation from an Irish speaker [here][1]. This particular shawl construction technique has been littering my sketchbooks for a couple years, but I never had the perfect design for it. When I saw this beautiful lace floral insertion I knew I had finally found it! Minimal, elegant, and whimsical, all at once, I'm so happy with how it turned out! This shawl is worked top-down, in one piece, with the edging worked as you go. The final piece is a deep trapezoid shape. Yarn: It's knitted in sport/light DK yarn, My sample is knitted up in the soft and light Semilla Melange by BC Garn. Needles: It is knitted up on size US 7/4.5 mm needles. The shawl is written in three different sizes, a kerchief, a mid sized shawl (like my sample), or an oversized shawl.
