Circular needle 3,5 mm, 40 and 80 cm [US 4, 16 and 32“]. Circular needles 3 mm, 80 cm [US 2.5, 32”]. Double pointed needles 3 and 3,5 mm [US 2.5 and 4]. If you use the magic loop method, you do not need double-pointed needles. Gauge 23 sts x approx. 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm [4 x 4”] in stockinette stitch on 3,5 mm [US 4] needles. Size guide Plain Yoke Cashmere is intended to have a positive ease of approx. 4-8 cm [1.5-3”]. The blouse is shown with a positive ease of 8 cm [3“]. Find your personal bust circumference by measuring around your chest (or the widest part of your upper body). Then look at the measurements given at the beginning of the pattern (these are the finished measurements of the blouse). Positive ease is the difference between your personal measurement and the blouse measurement. For example, if your bust circumference is 94 cm [37”], a size M would provide you with a positive ease of 4 cm [1.5”] (98 cm – 94 cm = 4 cm). [38.5” - 37” = 1.5”]. The length is measured at the center back from the cast-on edge. Construction note, detailed edition (in the picture) Plain Yoke Cashmere is knitted top-down with a raised back neck, created using German short rows (GSR). This means that when working the short rows, you work back and forth in stockinette stitch (knit on the right side, purl on the wrong side). Apart from the short rows, the blouse is worked almost entirely in knit stitches. The yoke is shaped with increases. Construction note, novice edition Plain Yoke Cashmere is knitted top-down. Almost everything is worked in stockinette stitch, meaning the blouse is worked in knit stitches. The round yoke is shaped with increases. The only difference compared to the "detailed edition” is that ”novice edition” is worked the same way both in the front and back in the neck section.
