The Shield Wall **Mosaic Overlay** pattern is 45” inches wide and 65” long, worked along the length of the pattern to allow the fringe to fall top and bottom of the blanket. The stitch pattern consists of Eight (8) 38-stitch repeats along the length, and Five (5) 38-row repeats to build the width, as well as the border stiches and rows. The pattern calls for a 4.5mm crochet hook, 2015 yards of Color A and 1600 yards of Color B. You can adjust the width/length of the blanket in increments of 9.5 inches (One shield), by adding/subtracting ONE (1) 38-Stitch/38-Row repeat. If you want to construct a bedspread-sized blanket, simply adjust the proportions of the pattern in 9.5-inch increments to allow the fringe to spill over the sides of the bed, leaving a clean edge top and bottom. The pattern includes: Cover Page with Specs and Glossary of Abbreviation, Designer notes, Row-by-row written instructions, Fully expandable graph, Partial graph for one 38-row repeat, and a "print by page" version of the fully expandable graph. There is also an email address included for support. While I do not mind answering forum queries, I do find email contact more conducive to a swift response. Any worsted weight yarn of your preference should serve this pattern well. It is advisable to use a dark/light contrast between Color A and Color B. This pattern was constructed using “I LOVE THIS YARN” Dakota Print from Hobby Lobby for Color A and “I LOVE THIS YARN” in Linen for Color B.
