**amirisu Shawl Club 2025!** From April through August 2025, one shawl kit will be available each month for one month only! This is the shawl for August. **Yarn** Fingering weight yarn held together with lace weight yarn Approximately 500 yards / 460 m each 1 skein of amirisu Swing Fingering (100% superwash merino wool; 500 yards / 460 m, 100g), 1 skein of amirisu Drift (60% super kid mohair, 40% silk; 656 yards / 600 m, 50g) White sample is shown in Swing Marshmallow and Drift Hinohikari Khaki sample is in Swing Sincerity 1 skein, DARUMA Silk Mohair Olive 2 balls. **Needles** A US 6 (4.0 mm) straight or circular needle Or, needles required to obtain gauge **Gauge (after blocking)** 23 stitches & 28 rows = 4” / 10 cm in St st with US 6 (4.0 mm) needle and both yarn held together **Sizes** Length 82¾” / 210 cm Width at the widest point 9” / 23 cm **Tools** Cable needle, tapestry needle, blocking mats and pins, a piece of cardboard and scissors for tassels **Notes** The shawl is worked flat from tip to tip with fingering yarn and lace yarn held together throughout, increasing one stitch every four rows along one side to shape the first half of the shawl, and decreasing one stitch every four rows in the same manner. The edges are worked in stockinette and naturally curl inward, creating the I-cord look without pulling the fabric in.
