Zoe Snail

Zoe is knitted with natural wool and felted after finishing.
 It’s knitted flat ( with 2 straight needles ), using the short row technique.
A perfect project for your first softy toy and to learn short rows. **Pattern is written for beginners** with many photos and step by step instruction. The size is approximately 20 cm x 25 cm ( 8 x 10 in ).
 **Minimum skills:** - Knit and purl stitches - Increases and decreases **Yarn** La Vall Worsted, Ovella Lab Worsted weight - 140m / 100g ( 153 yds / 100g ) Yarn quantity: Color 1 - 50g - body, Color 2 - 50g - shell *Yarn weight and gauge are not critical for this project. You can use any wool yarn ( non-superwash is recomended ). Using slightly smaller needles than usual is recommended to achieve a tighter fabric.* **Needles** 5 - 5.5 mm ( US 8-9 ) straight ( classic ) or circular needles **Other** - Stuffing for toys - Tapestry needle - Stitch markers - 2 safety eyes, 8–10 mm ( 3-3.5 in ) diameter - 20 cm ( 8 in ) of black thread to embroider the nose
