Mind his cold feets! **Frog Construction:** Dapper Frog is knit entirely in the round. His head and eyes are knit separately and assembled (this is how he achieves his pointed gaze), but his body is knit top down, in the round, and in one piece. **Gauge:** Fingering/Sport Frogs: 8 sts/inch in stockinette Worsted Frogs: 5 sts/inch in stockinette **Yarn:** Frog 1 (cover frog) is knit in Jamieson and Smith 2 ply Jumper Weight (fingering, 105m/25g) in the following colours: Body: 118 Medium Green Pants: 135 Mid Navy Sweater: 32 Bright Tan Suspenders: 9113 Dark Red Tie: 91 Egg Yolk Yellow Frog 2 is knit in Briggs and Little Sport (393m/113g) in the following colours: Body: 30 Fern Pants: 41 Navy Blue Sweater: 36 Gold Suspenders: 21 Brown Tie: 31 Rust Frog 3 is knit in Briggs and Little Heritage (worsted/aran, 196m/113g) in the following colours: Body: 64 Khaki Pants: 42 Blue Heather Sweater: 36 Gold Suspenders: 21 Brown Tie: 73 Red Frog 4 is knit in Tea With Toads Shetland Fingering (350m/100g) in the following colours: Body: Froggy Green Pants: Denim Blue Sweater: Golden Yellow Suspenders: Walnut Brown Tie: Dark Red **Amounts** (approximate in sport/fingering): Body: 18 grams Sweater: 8 grams Pants: 8 grams Bow Tie: 3 grams Suspenders: 3 grams **Amounts** (approximate in worsted/aran): Body: 40 grams Sweater: 24 grams Pants: 24 grams Bow Tie: 5 grams Suspenders: 5 grams **Needles:** **For fingering/sport frogs:** One set of 2.5mm (US size 1.5) dpns for the frog body, one set of 2.75mm (US size 2) dpns for the frog clothing. **For worsted frogs:** One set of 3.5mm (US size 4) dpns for the frog body, one set of 3.75mm (US size 5) dpns for the frog clothing. Or size needed to obtain suitable gauge. **Other Materials:** * Stuffing (Ideally wool because this gives him a pleasing heft, but can use polyfil, fabric or yarn scraps) * Black scrap of yarn or embroidery thread for embroidering mouth * Darning/Tapestry Needle, waste yarn to put stitches on hold * A skewer/chopstick/ similar for stuffing small diameters * Eyeball materials (choose an option below) **Eyeball Options:** Dapper Frog is happy to stare into your soul with any of the following eyeball options, and looks dapper no matter which you choose: * Embroidered Eyes: Requires embroidery thread or yarn in black and white (Dark green frog has this method) * Safety Eyes: Requires 9mm Safety Eyes for fingering or sport weight frogs, 18mm for worsted frogs * Needle Felted Eyes: Requires wool roving and felting needle (Large frog uses this method) **A Note on Frog Mods:** I do not put armatures or weighted beads in my frogs but I’m sure they would be lovely with either or both. **IMPORTANT:** This frog is not safe for children under 3 due to choking hazards. **Measurements:** Sample Frogs 1, 2, 4 (fingering/sport): 21 cm or 8 1/4 inches Sample Frog 3 (worsted): 30 1/2 cm or 12 inches [1]: https://teawithtoads.com/shop/item/dapper-frog-kit
