The dictionary tells us that an **Enchantress** is a woman with magical powers – isn’t that all women? Harness your inner **Enchantress**, unlock the mystery and cloak yourself in magical yarn and beads! **Enchantress** will be released in five clues in October Clue One will be released on the 1st Clue Two the 7th Clue Three the 11th Clue Four the 14th and Clue Five the 18th Each new clue will be released at around 10am UK time and will be added to the previous clue(s) so you have an up-to-date pattern. You might like to check each update as you may not need to print out the entire pattern on each clue release. As always, we respectfully ask you to keep the first photograph on your project page as the placeholder, that can be copied from the pattern page, so as not to spoil the enjoyment of the mystery for other knitters. **REQUIREMENTS** **Yarn and Finished Dimensions:** DyeforYarn Tussah Silk Lace 695m/100g. As written, approximately, 81” (206cm) wide, 19” (48cm) deep. These figures are a guide only and the overall size will depend on your exact tension and blocking. Measurements taken using DyeforYarn Tussah Silk Lace 695m/100g. **Circular Needles:** 3.25mm (US3), 3.5mm (US4), 3.75mm (US5), 4mm (US6) and 4.5mm (US7 – for bind off only) or needles to create a pleasing fabric – your fabric should not be too dense and should have good drape. I used needles that were about 1m in length. **You will also need:** stitch markers, just under 700 Miyuki or Toho size 6 seed beads, 1mm crotat hook or 0.75mm crochet hook, needle (for weaving in ends), blocking pins and mats. **Gauge:** 22 sts to 4” before blocking, and 16 sts to 4” after, using 3.5mm (US4) needles over main body pattern (Chart 2). A looser gauge will result in an increase in yarn usage. An updated and complete pattern will be sent to all purchasers after the MKAL has finished. **Please be aware that when purchasing this prior to 1st October 2024, you will only receive a PreRelease Information Sheet. The actual pattern will be released in clues on and after this date.** **You will find it useful to print your pattern on a colour printer, however, coloured pencils could be used to highlight aspects of the pattern.** **The pattern is both fully written and charted with bead placement clearly indicated throughout.** **If you like my designs please join us in the [Boo Group][1] where you will find a place to discuss my patterns, show off your knitting and hear about KALs and MKALs.** **Patterns already set up by KnitCompanion can be purchased, in the [KnitCompanion Store][2], for knitters who like to use KnitCompanion, but prefer to have their charts already set up.
