When I was a kid, I loved opening the little chocolates from the cardboard advent calendar that my mom got us every year. In the anticipation leading up to Christmas, opening something bite-sized each morning gave me a thrill and made every day in December feel more festive. In the spirit of those giddy December mornings, I have designed a new advent-style shawl that gives you the chance to open and knit something festive as we count down to Christmas. The pattern is broken into 25 manageable sections, so that you can knit one section and use one mini skein every day between December 1st and the 25th. OR, use this pattern as a way to bust through your leftover yarn stash!
