*Rainbow Road is a simple yet playful shawl knitted with two strands of lace or fingering weight yarn in a purple or a rainbow palette. Short row wedges in garter stitch create the curvy shape as they increase in size – very addictive to knit! Place the wide end of the shawl on your shoulder first, and then wrap the narrower end around your neck once or twice. The marled fabric is very squishy and warm, so it is the perfect grab-and-go accessory.* **Finished Measurements** 78″ / 198cm long, 21″ / 53cm at widest part. Measurements taken after blocking. **Yarn** Lace weight held double **Yardage** Approximately 2000yds / 1829m total MC - 1000yds / 914m CC1 - 200yds / 183m CC2 - 200yds / 183m CC3 - 200yds / 183m CC4 - 200yds / 183m CC5 - 200yds / 183m You will need about 1000yds / 914m of each strand. One color is used throughout the entire fabric for one strand and the second strand is divided amongst five CC’s. **Shown in** La Bien Aimée Helix (75% Falkland wool, 25% Gotland wool, 711yds / 650m per 100g skein) MC - Stone CC1 - Dawn CC2 - Anemone CC3 - Quartz Fume CC4 - Lannister CC5 - Madeleine The heavy lace weight yarn is held double throughout the pattern.
