Caridea Shawl Scarf

CONSTRUCTION A shawl with a checkered pattern made by knitted and crocheted lines. The shawl is worked from one side to the other, working purl stitches to create a guide for the horizontal lines later crocheted. Along the edge, knit yarn overs that create holes. You will then use these holes to tie in the fringe. Caridea comes in two sizes. SIZE Small Length: approx 73 cm Width at the widest part: 16 cm Big Length: 157 cm Width at the widest part: 34 cm All measurements are without fringes. SUGGESTED NEEDLES 3.5 mm circular knitting needle 80−100 cm Crochet hook size 3.5 mm for horizontal lines and a 6 mm hook for fringes. GAUGE 19 sts and 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm Stockinette stitch on 3.5 mm needles after blocking. Always use a needle size that will result in the correct gauge after blocking. Change needle size to fit gauge. YARN Garnmakeriet Eco Luna 100% ecological wool 350m/100g Main colour Small size: approx. 30g, 105m Main colour Big size: approx. 130g, 455m You can choose the amount of different contrasting colours for the lines, I have used between 2-6 different colours. For Small scarf using 2 contrasting colours: A total of 8g 28m, 4 g (14m) of each colour. For Big shawl using 6 contrasting colours: A total of 25g, 88m and between 3 – 7g (11 – 25m) of each colour. -------------------------------------------------------------- KONSTRUKTION En sjal med rutmönster gjord av stickade och virkade linjer.
