Beeswax Shawl

Warm up your autumn or sweeten your spring with a beautiful honeycomb-textured shawl! The Beeswax Shawl features the same large-scale lace motifs as the [Beeswax Scarf][2], transformed into a long diamond-shaped shawl. This shape, worked sideways from tip to tip, keeps the rows short and speedy and allows the lace pattern to form gentle scalloped edges as you knit. **Skills & Techniques:** Simple lace knitting (knit, purl, yarn-over, k2tog, ssk). **Materials Needed:** 2 skeins of Vintage Purls Superstar (70% NZ Polwarth, 20% Tussah Silk, 10% Black NZ Merino; 415yds/380m per 100g skein), or 811 yards / 742 metres of fingering-weight yarn. **Finished Measurements:** Relaxed after blocking: 74”/188cm length from end to end, and 28.25”/72cm at widest point. The shawl can be enlarged by working additional repeats (with extra yarn).
