Four capybaras, one hat, and absolutely nowhere important to be! Meet the Capybara Parade Beanie, a cozy, fuzzy colourwork hat featuring four little capybaras parading around your head! Inspired by traditional Fair Isle motifs, this playful design combines geometric patterns, cheerful colours, and a whole lot of capybara charm. The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up, starting with a two-colour ribbed brim, followed by a colourwork body and simple crown decreases. Pattern details One size: approximately 58 cm (23 in) circumference and 21 cm (8.4 in) tall Suggested yarn: bulky or short-pile fuzzy yarn Needles: 5.0 mm Techniques: 2x2 ribbing, stranded colourwork, and basic decreases Includes a full-colour chart covering all 64 stitches around the hat A little note on colourwork: I recommend intarsia in the round for the capybara motifs to avoid excessively long floats, and stranded colourwork for the geometric patterns. The sample hat was worked entirely in stranded colourwork, so either approach is possible. Please note that intarsia in the round requires a specialised technique.
