Wild Woods Drawstring Bag

Description This cozy bucket bag is worked in the round, sewn to a suede base, and finished with a drawstring strap. It's about 7" in diameter and 9" tall. Both colors give you plenty of yardage to make the bag your own. You can change the color placement, the height, and the drawstring configuration. Gauge Exact gauge isn't critical. Your bag may come out slightly larger or smaller than the sample (about 7" diameter, 9" tall), and that's fine. If your knitting is looser or tighter than mine, you can ease or gather the bottom edge slightly when sewing it to the suede base. The pattern uses a fabric liner. Any lightweight fabric will work. Form a tube the same diameter as your bag base. Fold one end over and sew it to make a casing, leaving an opening for the i-cord to pass through. Sew the liner to the knitted piece. Sew the liner to the suede base.
