Cap Ferret Waves Shawl

The Cap Ferret Waves Shawl is a light and airy lace shawl inspired by the gentle ocean waves of Cap Ferret, France. The flowing lace pattern creates soft, repeating waves, while the garter-stitch borders give the shawl a simple and elegant finish. The shawl is designed to be easily customized. You can make it as wide or as long as you like by adjusting the number of 18-stitch body repeats and continuing the four-row pattern until you reach your desired length. The sample is knitted with Pascuali Mohair Bliss (60% Superkid Mohair, RMS, 40% silk) in color 809, using 4 x 25 g balls and US 8 (5 mm) needles. Gauge: 25 sts x 22 rows = 4" (10 cm) square in stockinette stitch using US 8 (5 mm) needles. Because the shawl is customizable, the amount of yarn required will vary depending on your chosen width and length. For a different look, it can also be knitted in another yarn or color; simply keep in mind that changing the yarn weight or needle size will affect the finished size, drape, and amount of yarn required.
