Amore Cardigan

I stumbled upon this yarn some years ago and fell in love. Since then, I’ve knit with an abundance of well-known name brands as well as yarn from small scale sellers. Still, I come back to this one every time. It’s Borgo de Pazzi’s Amore Supersoft Cashmere. When the local yarn shops in my area stopped selling it, I panicked. I ended up working with a wholesaler to purchase a large batch through them with their next wholesale order. That was the greatest decision I’ve ever made. Although I’ve been knitting and designing for many years, yarn math still scares me, and the risk of running out of yarn mid-design is a terrifying thought. This is the first time I’ve knit something with no apprehension; nothing holding me back from doing whatever I wanted. And thus, I’ve created my dream oversized cardigan. Not *just* wider sleeves to give the illusion of being roomy. Not *just* a teeny bit more ease to create a casual, boxy shape. Not sleeves *just* the right length, hoping they will grow with blocking to wrap around my fists. This time, there were no restrictions. As the yarn’s name states, this is love. This is Amore.
