Sligo Skinny and Wide Scarf

The scarf is knit with light worsted weight yarn, and the cables ensure that it is warm. This unique and rarely seen cable comes to us from the Aran Islands. There are two pdf's with this pattern, so if you would like a skinny scarf, you have instructions for an approximately 4 inch scarf and if you want an 8 inch wide scarf, you have that pattern. They are essentially the same, and two are included only to make it more convenient for you. The yarn used in the sample is Malabrigo's Rios yarn in colorway, Ankara, and requires approximately 800 - 1000 yards. Skill Level: Intermediate (assuming a good working knowledge of cabling.) The stitch is charted only. There are instructions contained within the pattern for an OPTIONAL crocheted edging.
