Nederkanten har rullkant och det virkas en rand av kräftmaskor runt vanten i en kontrastfärg. Först läggs det upp maskor för handleden, på rundsticka eller strumpstickor. När handledsdelen är färdig börjar det ökas för tummen. Dessa maskor sätts sedan att vila medan resten av vanten stickas. Det minskas för toppen, som avslutas med att man syr maskstygn mellan de sista maskorna. Därefter stickas tummen. The bottom has a roll edge, and a crocheted edge of crab stitches is worked around the mitten, in a contrasting colour. First, stitches are cast on for the wrist and worked in stockinette stitch. When the wrist part is done increases for the thumb are made. These stitches are then put to rest while the rest of the mitten is worked. Decreases are made for the top and finished with mattress stitches. The mittens are knit up in Mashdale cw 980 Dune as main colour and cw 962 Obsidian as contrast colour. **Choosing size** The sizes S (M) L correspond to a hand circumference of 17-18 (18-19) (19-20) cm / 6.7-7.1 (7.1-7.5) (7.5-7.9) inches, measured where the hand is it’s widest. The length of the mitten and thumb can easily be adjusted. **Choosing yarn** The mittens can be worked in any DK yarn alternatively one thread of fingering yarn together with one thread lace yarn, e.g. a silk mohair or alpaca following thread.
