A provisional cast-on and grafting create a seamless finish, while twisted edge stitches give the i-cord a rounded look, and it can also be worn backwards for versatility. MATERIALS **Yarn:** 1 (1) skein of Poppy by Sandnes Garn (50% superfine alpaca, 35% cotton, 15% merino, 120 yds / 110 m – 50 g), colourway Autumn Leaf 2311. Or approx. 60 (87.5) yds / 55 (80) m of bulky-weight yarn. Alternative yarn suggestions are for example Soft by Isager or Air by Drops. **Needles:** US 9 / 5.5 mm 32" / 80 cm circular needles and DPNs. GAUGE 17 sts x 28 rows to 4" / 10 cm on US 9 / 5.5 mm needles in Garter St, after blocking. CONSTRUCTION The headband is worked flat in garter stitch with i-cord edges, beginning at the mid back using a Provisional Cast-On. Decreases shape the front section, which is worked straight before increases return to the original stitch count. The left back is then worked to match the right back. Finally, the live stitches are grafted to the provisional cast-on for an invisible join.
