About The Eira Blouse Mini is knit from the top down and includes options for both long and short sleeves. You begin by knitting flat to shape the keyhole opening at the back while also working the lace motif. The lace motif is charted and consists of yarn overs and decreases. Once the keyhole opening is complete, you join the work in the round and continue knitting the lace through the yoke. After the lace motif, you work German short rows and raglan increases to improve the fit of the blouse. The body and sleeves are then worked in stockinette stitch and finished with a faux I-cord bind-off, which is slightly more stretchy and less bulky than a traditional I-cord bind-off. Finally, you pick up stitches around the neckline and work an I-cord that ties decoratively at the back. Even if you use the magic loop method for the sleeves, DPNs are helpful for working the I-cord.
