Maggie the Mouse Scarf

**Intro** What could be more whimsical than a little mouse keeping your hair back? I love this headscarf so much, and I hope you love making and wearing it too. You’ll knit a simple base piece with a little nose at the tip before duplicate stitching some eyes and making some ears for the mouse’s face. The ears are made in two pieces and then seamed together before sewing them onto the scarf. The ties become the tails of the mouse and can be made short or long depending on your preference. I used about 35g of yarn for extra long tails down my back. I’d love to see your mousey creations! Feel free to tag me on any platform @ allwemakeisgood **Needles and Notions** US 1 (2.25mm) needles Tapestry needle to weave in ends Scissors **Yarn usage (total)** Using any fingering weight yarn 20g in MC (grey) 20g in CC A (pink) 20g in CC B (light pink) **Yarn usage (by piece)** 18-20g for the mouse head 0.5-1g for the nose 2g each for ear pieces (4 pieces total) 8g each for the ties (for minimum recommended length, the sample uses the remaining yarn left after making the ears, nose, and eyes) **Gauge** 28st x 36 rows = 4” x 4” (10cm x 10cm) This is a pretty forgiving accessory if your gauge is off a bit **Finished Dimensions** 12.5” x 11” mouse head minimum 12” ties to comfortably secure around head (sample ties are 36” long) Have questions?
