Sapphire Shrug

***This pattern has been graded to fit up to a 150 cm bust. If you're interested in test knitting one of the bigger, untested sizes that haven't been released yet, send me a message!*** The Sapphire Shrug is a fun, feminine cross between a garment and an accessory. It is worked top down with a contiguous saddle shoulder construction. The body is finished with a purl round before casting off, and bead clusters are attached all the way around the body. The sleeves are short and feature a slit down the outside of the arm. **Sizes:** 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 (6, 7, 8, 9, 10) {11} **Bust circumference of the shrug:** 70, 75, 80, 85, 90 (95, 100, 105, 110, 115) {120} cm. **Fits a bust circumference of:** approx. 75, 80, 85, 90, 95 (100, 105, 110, 115, 120) {125} cm. **Intended negative ease:** approx. 5 cm. This means that you should choose the size with a bust circumference that is 5 cm SMALLER than your actual bust circumference. *Note:* The shrug falls just a few cm below the armpits. If there’s a very big difference between your full and upper bust, consider sizing down. If you’re planning on knitting your shrug a bit longer, consider sizing up. **Length:** approx. 20, 21, 21, 22, 22 (22, 23, 23, 23, 24) {24} cm. **Gauge:** 19 sts x 27 rows in stockinette stitch on 4,5 mm needles after washing and blocking. **Recommended needles:** 4,5 mm circular needles (40, 60 and 80/100 cm). **Recommended yarn:** 50, 75, 75, 75, 75 (75, 75, 75, 100, 100) {100} g of Kremke Yarns Kid Cotton (25 g = 210 m). The pattern is worked using 2 strands held together. **Additional materials:** stitch markers (1 for BOR and 3 more to mark increases). If you want to add beads to your shrug, you’ll also need some beads of your choice, some sewing thread (ideally in a colour similar to your yarn) and a beading needle. For reference, I used 123 smaller beads and 41 accent beads for my size 5 sample.
