The Diamond Halter

A made-to-measure halter worked flat from the waist point up. The piece increases one Suzette stitch cluster per row until it reaches your bust line, then decreases back down to the neck — no seams, no joins. The construction is the shape. Construction: Worked flat, bottom to top, in Suzette stitch (sc, dc into the same stitch). Border with ch-3 eyelets at the side corners. Foundation sc straps attach at the neck point, cross the back, and thread through the eyelets to tie. Sizing: Made to measure. One measurement needed — bust width, seam to seam, measured flat with a light stretch. Materials: Any yarn held double. I used Berroco Modern Cotton DK held double on a 4mm hook, 147g / approx. 492 yds. Gauge: Not critical — work to measurement.
