Pumpkin Folke can share clothing with [Dapper Frog](/patterns/library/dapper-frog)! **Construction** The Pumpkin Folke are knit entirely in the round. Their pumpkin heads are knit separately and seamed to their viney bodies. The bodies are also knit in one piece. The overalls/pinafore are knit flat at the top and then joined in the round for the bottom. **Gauge** Pumpkin Folke are knit at 8 stitches and 10 rows in 1 inch. Their clothing is knit at one needle size larger. **Yarn:** The Pumpkin in red is knit in Tea With Toads Shetland Fingering (350m/100g) in the following colours: Head: Pumpkin Folke Orange Stem: Walnut Brown Body: Olive Green Pinafore: Robin Breast The Pumpkin in brown is knit in Jamieson and Smith 2 ply Jumper Weight (fingering, 105m/25g) in the following colours: Head: 32 Bright Tan Body: 118 Medium Green Overalls and Stem: 4 Moorit **Amounts (approximate):** Head: 6g Body: 11 g Overalls: 7g Pinafore: 6g **Other Materials:** -Stuffing (Ideally wool because this gives them a pleasing heft, but can use polyfil, fabric, or yarn scraps). -Darning/Tapestry Needle, waste yarn to put stitches on hold. -A skewer/chopstick/ similar for stuffing small spaces. -2x 1 cm (0.4 inch) buttons for overalls/pinafore. -Scrap of black embroidery thread or yarn for eyes. -Scrap of black felt for nose (optional, can just embroider using scrap yarn or needle felt the nose on). -Small length of colourful scrap yarn for rustic patches on overalls/pinafore (optional). -Small lengths of Black and Red sewing thread for attaching felt (optional). -A 25.5cm (10 inch) x 3 cm (1 1/4 inch) scrap of fabric for rustic scarf (optional). **IMPORTANT:** Pumpkin Folke are not safe for children under 3 as their details and buttons are choking hazards.
