Cupples' Trellis Rib

This is a variation of an 1871 pattern is from Mrs. George (Anne Jane) Cupples in her knitted sock pamphlet. I added 1 stitch to the repeat to avoid a yarn over between a knit stitch and a purl stitch. My variation now has eyelets all the same size. The pattern is meant to be on a sock’s leg but it might not have enough elasticity to be a good choice for this. There are only 4 pattern rows. There’s also a multiple of 7 stitches + 3 edge stitches. Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl, yarn over, k2tog and bind off. Gauge is **not** important in this pattern. Any block-able yarn/thread will work. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.
