This potholder works two ways: leave it flat and hang it as moon and stars wall decor, or fold it in half to form a triangular pocket that slides over your fingers to grip a hot pan or oven handle. Size: one size only. Flat square 13 x 13 cm (5 x 5 in); folded triangular pocket 17 x 9 cm (6.7 x 3.5 in). Gauge: 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 in) = 17 sc x 17 rows, worked in single crochet using the tapestry crochet technique, with a 3.0mm hook. Materials: 100% cotton yarn nº6 / worsted weight #4, approx. 70g total across two colors, 3.0mm crochet hook, tapestry needle. The row-by-row instructions use a Color A/Color B key, so the palette can be swapped for any two colors. Skeins: the moon and stars motif uses only a small amount of Color B, so one skein of each color is enough for this potholder with plenty left over.
