Its width is increased with shaping towards the centre, after which it is gradually decreased to form the second point. The size of the shawlette is easy to adjust: if desired, you can add or omit rows before beginning the decreases at the centre, allowing you to make the shawl just the right size for the amount of yarn you have available. The textured pattern is formed by two alternating cable motifs that flow across the fabric, creating a lively yet serene surface that invites both the eye and the touch. Fingering-weight wool held together with a strand of fine mohair creates a fabric that is light, airy and soft, while allowing the cables to stand out beautifully.
