Falltime Fox Overlay Mosaic Blanket

This fluffy little falltime fox is a cozy companion for the first few years of your little one's life! Working up to about 33x37 inches with #4 yarn, I'd consider this a large baby/medium child blanket, ideal for keeping your kiddo cozy from babyhood into childhood. This pattern is crocheted using overlay mosaic crochet, which uses alternating rows of two colors worked right to left and finished off between each row, eliminating the tangled web common with colorwork while giving you the same satisfying and detailed result as other tapestry crochet techniques. Best suited for Advanced Beginners and above, though the technique truly is much simpler than it seems and could be taken on by a beginner with a strong grasp of crochet, a Youtube tutorial and some patience. With purchase of this pattern, you’ll receive a digital file including a one-view chart of the pattern, a split chart view of the pattern (good for printing), and two written patterns (right and left handed), along with a pattern “guide” that includes helpful tips and tricks for working on mosaic crochet. This pattern does not include a full tutorial, but there are plenty of great creators on Youtube that can explain it better than I! Materials will include -two highly contrasting colors of yarn in the same weight (I like to use two colors of Red Heart Super Saver #4 worsted weight) -your choice of hook size (I like to use a 5mm hook with #4 worsted weight, but you could also use a 4 or 4.5mm hook with #3 DK weight yarn, its all up to your preference) -scissors ESTIMATED Yardage Yardages are estimates and will vary with yarn choice, personal tension, fringe length, reversible option choices, etc etc Color A - 750 yards Color B - 670 yards Gauge information This pattern is designed to work with/fit any gauge, mine came out to 16 stitches by 16 rows = 4 inches, making my finished piece about 37 inches tall by 33 inches wide, just be aware your finished measurements will depend on your own personal gauge for this project.
