We have had a Whatcha-ma-call-it, we have had a Thingie-ma-bob, and the name suggestions just keep coming in! LOL. In December, my little cousin asked me if I could make her bestie, who is expecting her very first little, a baby blanket…..and so Doo-dad was born. This super fun little project whips up nice and fast, so if you’re ever in a crunch for a pretty gift that still makes you look super-duper clever, Doo-dad is the way to go. Ness xxx Doo-dad is a repeat blanket (the pattern works through a set amount of rounds and then repeats itself), giving you the option to customize to any size your little heart dreams up ❤️ The yarn instructions given in the pattern info above are for the blanket made with Moya Shimmer. The rainbow coloured Doo-dad was worked with a 4.5mm hook and used 3 x 200g cakes (total of 600 meters). It uses US terminology and is worked in rounds. Skill level - Easy peasy Material list: ➢ Any yarn of your choice – I used Moya Shimmer 4ply, 50% bamboo 50% cotton (50g/125m). ➢ 3.5mm hook or hook compatible with yarn used. ➢ 15m x 3mm ribbon (optional). ➢ Needle for sewing in ends and needle join. In the prelude (beginning pages) of the pattern you will find detailed stitch tutorials, yarn quantities used the two colourways and many many more bits of useful info! You are more than welcome to work the blanket in any yarn of your choice. However, depending on the yarn and tension, you may have a size difference.
