Baby Acorns and Stripes

**Happy September**! I had to hurry to knit this fall-flavored pattern for my first post in September this year! This 1912 Fleisher pattern is from a baby bootee. The original pattern name was “Bootee”, so I had to invent a less generic name. Color choices are up to you. Fleisher’s original pattern used only 2 colors. The Baby Acorn section has 18 rows in the orange swatch and a multiple of 3 stitches + 4 edge stitches. The garter stitch stripes have 4 rows for the narrow stripe and 10 rows for the wider stripe. Skills needed: cast on, knit, purl, yarn over, slip 1 stitch over 2 other stitches and bind off. Gauge is **not** important in this pattern. Any block-able yarn/thread will work. Make a swatch to check gauge and appearance.
